Jason just got us tickets to BALLET DEVIARE . Its a ballet company that dances to heavy metal. So ballet for me and heavy metal for Jason. Its gonna be great. The show is in January in NYC. Did I say that I am totaly psyched. We are going to the ballet :) |

I am sitting at my computer in my brand new apartment. I've been here for about 2 weeks and have had my cat here for 4 days. He is adjusting nicely. I start training for my practicum in 2 weeks and the fall semester starts the week after that. Wow the summer has gone by quickly. I have only gotten to the beach once and swimming a few times more than that. I better hurry cause I will have no time at all in a few weeks. My apatment is in a great location. Right off the highway, 15 minutes from my practicum site, 5 minutes from the center of town (if that) and there is a realy nice bar 3 buildings next to me. Also, about 15 minutes from me is a gigantic orchard. I went there yestersay with Jason for pick your own blueberries and pick your own peaches. Yummy. |

Its July 7th: The day I have been waiting for for months now. I am FINALLY on break. I handed in my very last assignment today. I have 6 weeks off and then I have a week of training for my practicum. Then classes start again in the fall. I will be taking Learning, Personality Assessment II, Child Psychotherapy, Supervision, and 20 hours a week at my practicum site. I'll be at a residential school for kids 12-21 with intillectual disabilities and emotional disturbance. It will be hard but rewarding (well, not monetarily rewarding cause I wont get paid a cent for it). There hasnt been much going on in my life outside of school. I know I am boring. I'll be looking for an apartment because my practicum site is 45 minutes from my college and I want to be half way between the two. But no, I haven't dropped off the face of the earth. |

I am going to California for the National Association for School Psychology (NASP) Convention! I am super excited. School is pretty stressful but I think I am doing ok. I know it’s a short post and the first in a long time but I need to get back to my studies. |

I am pretty much done with my 1st semester of grad school. I had my last assignments due today. All I have left to do is show up to class on friday and show up to class on tuesday and I will be done. Today I did a presentation on Sensory Integration Dysfunction. I stayed up all last night because I didnt feel prepaired for the presentation, pluss I had a take home exam due today that I didnt think I had perfected (I still dont). When I was done with my presentation my professor said to me, "that was excellent. Just so you know, you are definately getting a A". Yeah. Go me. Now I have an entire month to do nothing besides work. What on earth should I do with myself? Well relax of course. Anyone who knows me will say I need to chill out more often. That is exactly what I plan to do. |

I am laying in my bed, watching tv, and on my new laptop all at the same time. Is this heaven or what? I didn't go to the Ren Fest after all. We woke up too late and decided to go to Six Flags instead. The park is about 30 minutes from my house but it took about 2 hours and 15 minutes to get there. This is because the highway was closed due to flooding. At Six flags one of the Halloween activities was also closed due to flooding. Despite all the hassel, Jason and I still had a good time. And it turns out that the Ren Fest was ALSO closed due to flooding so it is a good thing we didnt drive all the way there. |

I was looking at my recent entries and they are almost all internet personality quizzes. Wile they are fun they dont give much of an update.
Grad school is lots of work. I have my 1st test on tuesday and my second test on friday. And then 2 weeks later I have my 1st paper due and a week after that I have a 25 page paper due. And then shortly followed by more tests and two 15 page papers. Joy. I am still working at Vicky's. Although I only work 2 days a week it still takes 2 days a week away from school work. Thus adding more stress.
This weekend I am going to the CT ren fest with my boyfriend. We have been trying to get to one ever since we met but we keep missing them. We thought they were all over this season and then Usagi reminded me about the one in CT. Thanks Usagi!! I'm sorry if you didnt get to go this year.
I should get to bed. Lets see how many more quizzes I have before another real post ;) |

Well, I finished Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince last night. I stayed up until about 4 in the morning reading it. Although I thought the book was great I REALLY didnt like how the plot twisted. I am almost still in denial. Oh, and I found out who died in the book before I even got half way through it cause some supper rude person posted it on myspace. It was in the title of a post....didnt say spoiler on it or anything.
I am really excited because a girl asked me to switch my shift with her tomorrow so now I can visit Jay before 1 in the morning. And on thursday we are going to the beach if the weather is good. |

Yep, thats where I am working this summer. I've been pretty busy working. They gave me 34 hours this week. The good is that I get paid. The bad part is that I get to walk around the store all day finding more and more things that I want to spend my entire paycheck on. There isn't really anything else to report. Oh, I finally got my oriantation packet in the mail for UHart. Registration is on August 29th classes start on August 30th. And then I get to stay in school for another 3 years. Wa hooo!!!! |
